Walter has 35 years of experience as a clinician, educator, consultant and lecturer since graduating from Simmons College, Graduate School of Social Work. Formally associated with the Hallowell Center in Sudbury, MA, Walter is a psychotherapist, providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy at his office in Andover, MA and via the Web. Walter is expanding Sherburne Counseling to bring in other experienced professional in order to offer patients the broadest array of services possible.

As a professional who has ADHD, Walter works extensively with patients working to manage their issues with attention, depression, and anxiety. As a speaker, Walter has presented on a variety of topics, including, the treatment of ADHD, understanding our strengths, men and intimacy, trauma, the challenges facing teenagers today, and the importance of humor. Over the past several years, Walter has presented at a number of conferences, including, the ADHD Foundation of Canada Annual Conference in Ottawa, Canada, Connecticut Valley State Hospital, Maryland Teen Initiative, and has appeared on local Boston radio and television programs.
